MLB: Cincinnati 5, Philadelphia 4

PHILADELPHIA, Aug. 21 (UPI) -- Zack Cozart gave Cincinnati the lead with a ninth-inning homer Tuesday and the Reds hung on for a 5-4 victory over Philadelphia.

With the score tied 4-4, Cozart belted the first pitch of the ninth from Jonathan Papelbon (3-5) into the left-field seats for the decisive blow.

Jonathan Broxton (2-1) allowed a game-tying RBI triple to the Phillies' Kevin Frandsen in the bottom of the eighth but was credited with the win.

Aroldis Chapman secured the victory with his 30th save.

Cozart finished with two RBI and Todd Frazier went 2-for-3 with a solo home run for National League Central-leading Cincinnati, which evened its four-game series at one win apiece.

Philadelphia starter Cliff Lee struck out nine while allowing three runs (two earned) over 6 2/3 frames.

Frandsen went 3-for-4 and Jimmy Rollins drove in a pair of runs for the Phillies.
