DENVER, Aug. 18 (UPI) -- Giancarlo Stanton became the second visiting player to hit a home run in five straight games at Coors Field Friday, helping the Miami Marlins edge Colorado 6-5.
Stanton's homer in the sixth created a 5-5 tie and John Buck doubled home the go-ahead score later in that inning. Miami halted Colorado's four-game winning streak.
Jose Reyes gave the Rockies a 5-4 lead in the fifth with a three-run homer, but the Marlins quickly regained the advantage.
Stanton led off the sixth with his homer off Josh Roenicke (4-1). That allowed him to tie Jeff Kent's record for most consecutive games with a homer in Colorado's park by a visiting player.
Donovan Solano followed with a triple and he scored one out later on Buck's double.
Wade LeBlanc (2-2) picked up the win despite giving up five runs on nine hits in five innings. He had come into the game with a 1.76 earned run average in his three starts with Miami.
Steve Cishek worked the ninth for the Marlins to get his eighth save.
