Storms force PGA Championship suspension

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C., Aug. 11 (UPI) -- Officials suspended play during the third round of the PGA Championship Saturday due to heavy rainstorms at the Ocean Course at Kiawah Island, S.C.

The call was made at 4:50 p.m. EDT, just after Rory McIlroy bogeyed the ninth hole, falling into a tie with second-round co-leader Vijay Singh atop the leaderboard at 6-under par.
