ORLANDO, Fla., Aug. 9 (UPI) -- Andrew Bynum's agent said he had not been contacted about a reported four-team deal that would send the Los Angeles Lakers center to Orlando for Dwight Howard.
David Lee told the Orlando Sentinel Thursday he had not heard from any of the four teams reported by Yahoo! Sports and ESPN to be on the verge of a deal involving the Lakers, Orlando Magic, Philadelphia 76ers and Denver Nuggets.
The Sentinel said Lee has been steadfast that a team would have to first speak with Bynum about his willingness to be moved and sign a new contract or contract extension.
As reports laid it out, Bynum would wind up in Philadelphia in the trade. Howard and Denver's Al Harrington would land with the Lakers. Lakers big man Pau Gasol would be shipped to the Magic along with Denver's Aaron Afflalo. Denver would receive Philly's Andre Iguodala.
The Sentinel said the attraction for Orlando would be not only Gasol and Afflalo, but some new payroll room and additional draft picks to rebuild. Gasol, the newspaper said, could even be moved right away due to his age and hefty contract.
The Magic are also believed to be cool on Bynum due to concern about his knees and his willingness to commit to central Florida for the long term.
