CLEVELAND, Aug. 8 (UPI) -- Justin Masterson allowed three hits over seven innings Wednesday helping the Cleveland Indians break an 11-game losing streak with a 6-2 win over Minnesota.
The win was the first for Cleveland since July 26 when the Indians beat Detroit 5-3. The Indians were outscored 95-36 over the course of the losing streak, which ended one short of the franchise record. Cleveland dropped 12 straight games in May 1931.
