LONDON, Aug. 5 (UPI) -- The United States women's volleyball team completed an unbeaten run through group play Sunday with a three-set victory over Turkey.
Destinee Hooker accounted for 17 points in what was a 27-25, 25-16, 25-19 triumph.
Brazil, which lost to the Americans in the second of their five group games, earned a spot in the quarterfinals by defeating Serbia in three sets.
China and South Korea will also advance out of Group B.
Russia won Group A with a 5-0 record, ending its preliminary action with a five-set victory over Italy. The Italians had come into that match unbeaten and finished second in the group.
The United States' opponent in the quarterfinals Tuesday will be the Dominican Republic, which finished fourth in Group A.
