MLB: Baltimore 1, Tampa Bay 0 (10 innings)

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., Aug. 5 (UPI) -- Taylor Teagarden's RBI double in the 10th inning Saturday gave Baltimore its only run, but it was enough for a 1-0 Orioles victory over Tampa Bay.

Mark Reynolds drew a one-out walk from Joel Peralta (1-4) and after Omar Quintanilla struck out, Teagarden lined a 3-2 pitch into the left-center field gap, easily scoring Reynolds.

Jim Johnson racked up his 32nd save with a 1-2-3 bottom of the 10th and Luis Ayala (3-3) got the win for the Orioles, who took two out of three from the Rays and took over second place in the American League East.

Baltimore starter Miguel Gonzalez tamed the Rays on two hits over seven shutout frames. Darren O'Day, Troy Patton and Ayala followed, teaming up for two scoreless relief innings.

Tampa Bay's David Price was also sharp, blanking the O's on two hits through eight innings. He walked three and fanned five.
