Hardy edges Rocha for Reno-Tahoe victory

RENO, Nev., Aug. 5 (UPI) -- J.J. Henry's seven-point performance Sunday was enough to eke out a close victory over Alexandre Rocha at the Reno-Tahoe Open.

Henry's total of 43 points through four rounds at Montreux Golf and Country Club was one better than Rocha's 42.

Rocha made it close with three birdies in the last six holes and ended with 9 points in the final round, but couldn't quite match Henry's total under the Modified Stableford scoring system.

Henry collected his second PGA Tour title.

Corralling third place was Andres Romero (6 points in the final round), who ended with a total of 37.

John Mallinger (2 points) claimed sole possession of fourth with 34, while John Daly (5) and Justin Leonard (7) shared fifth place with 33 points.
