Olympic Medal: W Ind. Archery

LONDON, Aug. 2 (UPI) -- Bo Bae Ki of South Korea won the Olympic gold medal in individual women's archery.

Mexico won both the silver and bronze medals in the event, second place going to Aida Roman and third to Mariana Avitia.

It was the first time since the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles that Mexico had won two medals in the same event. Mexican race walkers finished first and second over 20 kilometers during those Olympics.

Avitia took the bronze medal with a victory over American Khatuna Lorig in the third-place match.
