She defeated Jessica Fox of Australia by .61 of a second. Maialen Chourrant of Spain won the bronze.

Stepanka Hilgertova, 44, of the Czech Republic competed against both the mother and daughter. Hilgertova won the gold medal in 1996 while Myriam Fox-Jerusalmi was taking the bronze.
