Olympic Medal: W Table Tennis Singles

LONDON, Aug. 1 (UPI) -- Li Xiaoxia of China won the Olympic gold medal Wednesday in women's table tennis singles.

Ching's Ding Ning received the silver medal, losing to her countrywoman in the finals. The bronze medal went to Tianwei Feng of Singapore.

Singapore's medal was only its third in the history of the Olympics.
