US women take silver in 3m synchronized diving

LONDON, July 29 (UPI) -- China's He Zi and Wu Minxia won the Olympic gold medal Sunday in women's three-meter synchronized diving.

Americans Kelci Bryant and Abigail Johnston took the silver and Canadians Jennifer Abel and Emile Heymans claimed the bronze.

The silver medal for Bryant and Johnston was the first of any kind in Olympic diving for the United States in 12 years.
