MLB: Oakland 5, N.Y. Yankees 4 (12 inn.)

OAKLAND, Calif., July 22 (UPI) -- Coco Crisp drove in Derek Norris for the game-winning run in the 12th inning Sunday and Oakland completed a four-game sweep of the New York Yankees, 5-4.

The Athletics forced extra innings when Seth Smith smashed a one-out solo homer in the bottom of the ninth off New York closer Rafael Soriano to tie it up.

Then in the 12th, Norris singled with one out off Cody Eppley (0-2) and went to second on a sacrifice bunt by Jemile Weeks.

That brought up Crisp, who lofted the first pitch from Eppley into right field, scoring Norris without a throw and giving the A's their major league-leading 11th walk-off victory of the year.

Jerry Blevens (3-0) earned the victory with two scoreless relief frames as Oakland logged its first-ever four-game sweep of the Yankees and won for the ninth time in 10 games overall.

Brandon Inge and Kurt Suzuki also homered for the winners.

Curtis Granderson went deep and Alex Rodriguez drove in two runs for American League East-leading New York.
