MLB: Washington 4, Miami 0

MIAMI, July 15 (UPI) -- Stephen Strasburg hurled six shutout innings and delivered a run-scoring single Sunday in the Washington Nationals' 4-0 whitewash of Miami.

Strasburg (10-4) broke a personal three-start losing streak, scattering six hits and a walk en route to the triumph.

The right-hander tossed 70 of his 105 pitches for strikes, fanning seven as National League East-leading Washington grabbed a 2-1 lead in its three-game series at Marlins Park.

Strasburg's RBI single in the fifth broke a scoreless tie, while Steve Lombardozzi, Michael Morse and Danny Espinoza also contributed RBI in the win.

Marlins starter Ricky Nolasco (8-7) was touched for four runs on six hits in a 5 1/3-inning stint.
