MIAMI, July 4 (UPI) -- The Miami Marlins have acquired Houston Astros slugger Carlos Lee for a pair of minor-leaguers, multiple reports indicated Wednesday.

The South Florida Sun Sentinel and ESPN, citing sources they did not name, reported the Astros moved to send Lee to Miami for Class AAA third baseman Matt Dominguez and Class AA left-handed pitcher Rob Rasmussen.

Lee was taken out of Houston's 6-4 loss to Pittsburgh in the seventh inning Wednesday as trade speculation mounted.

Lee, 36, is hitting .287 with five home runs and 29 RBI in 66 games for the Astros while playing in the final year of a six-year, $100-million contract.

The first baseman has 354 career homers in 2,017 major league games over a 15-year career with the Chicago White Sox, Milwaukee Brewers, Texas Rangers and the Astros.
