OAKLAND, Calif., July 4 (UPI) -- Coco Crisp had a solo home run and brought in the game-winning run with a sacrifice fly in the ninth inning that gave the Oakland A's a 3-2 win over Boston.
Brandon Moss drove in the tying run with a single in the bottom of the ninth and set the stage for Crisp, who then drove a fly ball to center that was deep enough for Cliff Pennington to race home from third base with the winning run.
The win was the third in a row for Oakland and consigned the Red Sox to their fourth loss in six tries.
Jeremy Blevins (2-0) picked up the victory in relief of Bartolo Colon, who returned from the disabled list and lasted six innings. Colon allowed two runs -- one earned -- on five hits.
Alfredo Aceves (0-6) was tagged with his fourth blown save. He allowed the deciding runs in relief of Jon Lester, who allowed one run on four hits and struck out nine in 6 2/3 innings.
