MLB: Los Angeles Dodgers 3, Cincinnati 1

LOS ANGELES, July 4 (UPI) -- Luis Cruz stole home and also drove in the go-ahead run Tuesday in the Los Angeles Dodgers' 3-1 victory over Cincinnati.

The win was the second in 10 tries for the Dodgers and handed a loss to Reds' starter Johnny Cueto (9-5), who some baseball observers felt had been wrongly left off the National League All-Star team.

Cruz stroked a one-out double in the seventh inning to break a 1-1 tie and then stole home to put Los Angeles ahead 3-1.

Bobby Abreu drove in the first Dodger run in the sixth inning.

Scott Elbert (1-1) picked up the win in relief of LA starter Chris Capuano and Kenley Jansen notched his 13th save.

Joey Votto and Ryan Ludwick both had a pair of hits for Cincinnati.
