CLEVELAND, July 4 (UPI) -- Michael Brantley and Casey Kotchman each hit a three-run homer and the Cleveland Indians banged out 15 hits Wednesday in a 12-3 rout of the Los Angeles Angels.
Asdrubal Cabrera added a pair of RBI while Johnny Damon went 3-for-4 with two runs scored for the Indians, who broke the game open with a six-run second inning.
Lou Marson chipped in with a pair of hits, including a run-scoring single that triggered a three-run fifth for the Tribe, who claimed the rubber match of a three-game series.
Derek Lowe (8-6) notched the win despite allowing 11 hits over six innings. The right-hander gave up three runs, didn't issue a walk and struck out one.
Angels starter Ervin Santana (4-9) lasted just 1 1/3 innings after being rocked for eight runs on six hits.
Maicer Izturis supplied two RBI and Mark Trumbo went 3-for-4 with a run scored for the Angels.
