MLB: Chi. White Sox 5, Texas 4 (10 inn.)

CHICAGO, July 4 (UPI) -- Kevin Youkilis singled in Alejandro De Aza from second with nobody out in the 10th inning Wednesday to give the Chicago White Sox a 5-4 win over Texas.

One night after Chicago produced 18 runs against the Rangers, the White Sox overcame an early 3-0 deficit and eventually outlasted Texas in a meeting of division leaders.

Mike Adams worked a perfect ninth inning for the Rangers and stayed in the game for the 10th, but walked De Aza in an eight-pitch at-bat.

De Aza then stole second and scored on the Youkilis single to left-center.

Michael Young doubled home two runs in the Texas first and then scored on a single by Nelson Cruz.

Chicago bounced back with a four-run second, the key blow being a two-run double from Gordon Beckham. The 26th homer of the year by Josh Hamilton tied it in the third.

The win went to Addison Reed (2-1), who needed just seven pitches to get through a 1-2-3 top of the 10th.
