MLB: Los Angeles Angels 9, Toronto 7

TORONTO, June 28 (UPI) -- Two-run homers by Mark Trumbo and Mike Trout highlighted a 14-hit assault Thursday that brought the Los Angeles Angels a 9-7 win over Toronto.

Trumbo's blast put the Angels in front during a three-run fourth, but the Blue Jays came back to claim a 6-5 advantage heading into the sixth.

A ground-rule double in that inning by Peter Bourjos tied the score and Trout followed with his home run that put the Angels ahead to stay.

It was the fourth straight win for the Angels, who have gone 25-8 since May 22.

Los Angeles starter Dan Haren (6-7) gave up six runs on seven hits in six innings, but still managed to earn the win.

Ernesto Frieri recorded the last four outs for the Angels to grab his 10th save.

Brett Cecil (1-1), in his third start of the season, allowed eight runs on 10 hits in 5 1/3 innings to suffer the loss.
