MINNEAPOLIS, June 25 (UPI) -- Minnesota Twins closer Matt Capps went on the 15-day disabled list Monday with right shoulder inflammation, the struggling American League club said.

Capps is 1-4 this season with a 3.42 earned run average in 26 1/3 innings. He has accumulated saves in 14 of his 15 chances.

With Capps on the shelf, the Twins recalled pitcher Tyler Robertson from Triple-A Rochester. The 24-year-old left-hander has put together a 2-2 record with a 3.77 ERA in 33 appearances at Rochester this year.

Minnesota is 29-42 this season and is mired in last place in the AL Central Division.
