SANDY, Utah, June 20 (UPI) -- Landon Donovan completed a Los Angeles comeback with his second goal in the 68th minute Wednesday, giving the Galaxy a 3-2 win over Salt Lake.
Los Angeles fell behind 2-0 in the first 24 minutes, but Donovan led a rally and the Galaxy came up with a huge break late in the contest to hang on for the win.
Donovan began the Los Angeles comeback in the 29th minute and assisted on a goal by Mike Magee to tie it in the 50th minute.
Los Angeles (5-8-2) has won back-to-back games for the second time this season. Salt Lake (10-4-2), the Western Conference leader, had a three-game winning streak snapped.
Kyle Beckerman and Alvaro Saborio scored the early goals for Salt Lake, which missed a chance to tie it in the 94th minute when a shot by Javier Morales sailed just over the crossbar.
