MLB: Pittsburgh 9, Cleveland 5

CLEVELAND, June 17 (UPI) -- Pedro Alvarez smashed a pair of three-run homers Sunday, carrying the Pittsburgh Pirates to a 9-5 interleague win over Cleveland.

Alvarez first went deep in the fourth inning, erasing a 2-0 Pirates deficit, then struck again to cap a six-run fifth inning that broke the game open, aided by Indians shortstop Asdrubal Cabrera's fielding error.
