BAD GASTEIN, Austria, June 12 (UPI) -- Top-seeded Julia Goerges was ousted with a three-set defeat Tuesday in the first round of the rainy Nurnberger Gastein Ladies tennis tournament in Austria.

Rain affected play for the second day of the tournament. Only one main-draw match even started Monday, and Tuesday four of the scheduled 12 matches were postponed because of weather.
