MLB: Toronto 12, Atlanta 4

ATLANTA, June 10 (UPI) -- Brett Lawrie and Colby Rasmus belted back-to-back homers Sunday, spearheading the Toronto Blue Jays' 12-4 interleague rout of Atlanta.

The Toronto pair each finished with three RBI. Rasmus and Edwin Encarnacion had three hits apiece for the Blue Jays, who avoided being swept in their three-game series at Turner Field.

They banged out 18 hits in all to bail out starter Ricky Romero and hand the victory to Carlos Villanueva (1-0), who tossed two scoreless frames as Toronto scored nine runs.

Braves reliever Livan Hernandez (1-1) was tagged with the loss, coughing up five runs on seven hits in just 1 2/3 innings.

Freddie Freeman went 3-for-5 with an RBI as the Braves saw their six-game winning streak snapped.
