ST. LOUIS, June 9 (UPI) -- Kyle Lohse and a pair of relievers combined on a three-hit shutout Saturday, staking the St. Louis Cardinals to a 2-0 interleague win over Cleveland.

Lohse (6-1) stifled the Indians on three hits over 7 2/3 scoreless frames, allowing two walks and striking out four.

The right-hander notched his first victory since May 9 -- a span of six starts -- and didn't allow a runner to reach third as the Cardinals evened their three-game series at Busch Stadium.

Marc Rzepczynski collected the final out of the eighth inning and Jason Motte logged his 11th save to complete the whitewash.

Carlos Beltran led the Cardinals' offense, going 3-for-4 with a solo homer.

Justin Masterson (2-6) absorbed the hard-luck loss for Cleveland, surrendering just one run on five hits in a seven-inning effort.
