MLB: Tampa Bay 8, Baltimore 4

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., June 3 (UPI) -- B.J. Upton's two-run double in the fifth inning put Tampa Bay ahead Sunday and the Rays went on to post an 8-4 victory over Baltimore.

With the game tied 2-2 in the fifth, three walks surrendered by Orioles starter Jake Arrieta (2-7) loaded the bases with two outs and Upton made him pay by pulling a 3-1 pitch past diving third baseman Steve Tolleson for the go-ahead runs.

Tolleson and Matt Wieters committed errors in the next inning as Tampa Bay scored four more to break the game open and claim the rubber match of a three-game set at Tropicana Field.

Matt Moore (2-5) won for the first time since May 1, a span of six starts, yielding only one earned run over six innings. The left-hander issued seven hits, walked three and struck out four.

Arrieta allowed four walks and a pair of hits over 4 2/3 frames.

Wieters and Mark Reynolds each contributed three hits, two RBI and solo homers for the O's.
