MLB: Toronto 4, Baltimore 1

TORONTO, May 30 (UPI) -- Brandon Morrow struck out eight over 6 1/3 innings Wednesday and received almost perfect relief help to bring the Toronto Blue Jays a 4-1 win over Baltimore.

Toronto has won three in a row, one short of its longest winning streak of the season. Baltimore has dropped five straight.

Morrow (6-3) bounced back from a dismal performance against Texas in which he retired only two batters while allowing nine base runners and six runs.

He surrendered four hits against the Orioles, and then Carlos Villanueva, Francisco Cordero and Casey Janssen combined to walk one batter over the final 2 2/3 innings.

Janssen picked up his fifth save.

Toronto's runs came on solo homers in four consecutive innings beginning in the second. The home runs came from Edwin Encarnacion, Rajai Davis, Brett Lawrie and Colby Rasmus -- all off Jason Hammel (6-2).
