MLB: Philadelphia 10, New York Mets 6

NEW YORK, May 30 (UPI) -- A three-run homer by Jimmy Rollins ignited a six-run ninth that broke open a close game Wednesday and sent Philadelphia to a 10-6 win over the New York Mets.

The Phillies took a 4-3 lead into the ninth, when they scored six times on five hits. Freddy Galvis drew a leadoff walk from Jon Rauch (3-4) and John Mayberry singled before Rollins hit his second homer of the season.

Ty Wigginton, who had a solo homer in the second, also doubled home a run in the ninth and Shane Victorino had a two-run single to cap the inning.

A would-be New York rally in the bottom of the ninth fell short despite the second homer of the game from Lucas Duda.

Antonio Bastardo, the second of five Philadelphia pitchers, got the win by working a scoreless seventh.
