CLEVELAND, May 30 (UPI) -- Cleveland designated hitter Travis Hafner will have surgery on his right knee and will miss more than a month of the schedule, Indians officials said.
Hafner has been diagnosed with a damaged meniscus in his right knee and is to have surgery Thursday, the team said. He is expected to be out 4-6 weeks and was placed on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to May 24.
