NEW YORK, May 29 (UPI) -- Philadelphia pitcher Roy Halladay will miss 6-8 weeks of the schedule because of a muscle strain, the Phillies said Tuesday.
Halladay was placed on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to Monday, but the injury is expected to keep him out of the lineup for as much as two months. The Phillies said the diagnosis was a right latissimus dorsi strain. The muscle involved is in the middle right side of the back.
