COLUMBUS, Ohio, May 26 (UPI) -- Eddie Gaven and Emilio Renteria scored for Columbus Saturday and the Crew logged a second straight win with a 2-1 verdict over Chicago.
Gaven put the Crew ahead to stay 9 minutes into the contest, firing a low shot past Chicago goalkeeper Sean Johnson off a pass from Shaun Francis at the edge of the penalty area.

Renteria made it 2-0 in the 43rd minute after Gaven found him at the corner of the 6-yard box and the Venezuelan curled a shot into the far upper corner for his second goal in as many games.
Columbus (5-4-3) maintained its momentum from a 2-0 victory over Seattle Wednesday.
Austin Berry scored in the 72nd minute for the Fire (5-4-3).
