Kendrys Morales drew a one-out walk from Jordan Norberto (0-1) in the 11th and was replaced by pinch-runner Peter Bourjos, who went to third one out later on Howie Kendrick's single. Angels starter Jered Weaver tossed eight innings of one-run ball, yielding three hits in a 112-pitch performance.
Oakland's Jarrod Parker matched him, holding LA to a single run on five hits while fanning eight over seven frames.
Seth Smith socked a solo homer for the A's.
