MONTREAL, May 20 (UPI) -- Dane Richards' first goal of the season Saturday proved decisive in Red Bull New York's 2-1 victory over Montreal.
The goal came in the 67th minute when Richards slammed the rebound of a Roy Miller cross past Impact goalkeeper Donovan Ricketts and into the back of the net, breaking a 1-1 tie.

Kenny Cooper netted his 10th goal of the season on a penalty kick for New York (8-3-1), which improved to 25 points on the season.
Bernardo Corradi scored on a first-half penalty kick goal for Montreal (3-6-3), which had a four-game unbeaten streak snapped.
