SAN JOSE, Calif., May 20 (UPI) -- Alan Gordon scored in the closing seconds for the second time in two games Saturday, once again salvaging a point for San Jose in a 1-1 tie with Columbus.
The striker's late goal helped the Earthquake pull into a 1-1 draw with Chivas USA last week, and he struck again Saturday, scoring on the rebound of his own shot off the crossbar in the final minute of regulation.

The tally enabled San Jose (7-2-3) to hold onto sole possession of second place in the Western Conference.
Columbus (3-4-3) went in front late in the first half when Justin Meram placed a shot into the far upper corner of the net off a feed from Tony Tchani.
