MLB: Atlanta 2, Tampa Bay 0

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., May 20 (UPI) -- Tim Hudson and a pair of relievers combined on a five-hit shutout Sunday, boosting the Atlanta Braves to a 2-0 interleague victory over Tampa Bay.

Hudson (3-1) baffled the Rays on four hits over seven dominating innings. The right-hander has allowed two runs or less in four his five starts since returning from back surgery.

He surrendered two walks and struck out three in the performance.

Jonny Venters got the final out in the eighth and Craig Kimbrel notched his 13th save with a 1-2-3 ninth as the Braves took the rubber match a three-game interleague series at Tropicana Field.

David Ross homered and Jason Heyward added an RBI single for National League East-leading Atlanta.

Tampa Bay starter David Price (6-3) yielded only one unearned run on six hits over seven innings. He walked three and fanned seven.
