NBA: Indiana 78, Miami 75

MIAMI, May 15 (UPI) -- David West and George Hill combined for 31 points Tuesday and the Indiana Pacers beat Miami 78-75, evening their conference semifinal series 1-1.

West netted 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds while Hill chipped in with 15 points for the Pacers, who took Game 2 of their Eastern Conference series against the Heat.

Roy Hibbert contributed eight points and 11 boards, helping Indiana outrebound Miami 50-40 and deal the Heat their first home playoff loss in 14 games.

The Pacers used a tough defense to limit Miami to 34.6 percent shooting.

LeBron James poured in 28 points with nine rebounds while Dwyane Wade added 24 points on 8-of-22 shooting for Miami, which went 1-for-16 from 3-point range.

The Heat were playing without injured all-star forward Chris Bosh.

They will try to bounce back when the series moves to Indianapolis for Thursday's Game 3.
