MIAMI, May 15 (UPI) -- Josh Johnson earned his first win of the season Tuesday, taming the Pirates over seven innings in the Miami Marlins' 6-2 decision over Pittsburgh.
Johnson (1-3), who made just nine starts in 2011 due to a shoulder injury, notched his second straight strong start, resulting in his first victory in more than a year.
The right-hander held the Bucs to two runs on six hits, issuing only one walk and striking out six as the Marlins earned a split in their two-game home set.
Omar Infante went 4-for-5 with a two-run single, highlighting a five-run fourth inning that broke the game open.
Hanley Ramirez chipped in with three hits, including a pair of RBI doubles, for the Marlins.
Bucs starter Kevin Correia (1-4) lasted only 3 2/3 innings, getting tagged for six runs on eight hits.
Michael McKenry collected a solo homer for Pittsburgh.
