MLB: Miami 8, New York Mets 4

MIAMI, May 13 (UPI) -- Giancarlo Stanton capped a ninth-inning rally with a grand slam Sunday, boosting the Miami Marlins past the New York Mets 8-4.

Trailing 4-2 entering their final at-bat, the Marlins exploded for six runs to win going away as the Mets' bullpen disintegrated.

Emilio Bonifacio led off the frame with a triple off New York closer Frank Francisco (1-3), and after John Buck walked, Greg Dobbs singled in a run, cutting the deficit to 4-3.

Francisco was ejected from game for arguing with home plate umpire Todd Tichenor, and after Manny Acosta came on to pitch Jose Reyes tied the contest with a sacrifice fly.

One out later, Hanley Ramirez walked and Austin Kearns was hit by a pitch, loading the bases for Stanton, who proceeded to belt the third walk-off grand slam in Marlins history.

Heath Bell (2-3) picked up the victory despite allowing a go-ahead, two-run double to New York's Justin Turner in the top of the ninth.
