BOSTON, May 13 (UPI) -- Jarrod Saltalamacchia homered, drove in five runs, and Will Middlebrooks also went deep Sunday, powering the Boston Red Sox to a 12-1 rout of Cleveland.
Saltalamacchia's two-run shot in seventh capped Boston's scoring and the catcher also drove in three runs with a pair of singles as the Red Sox won for the third time in their four-game set against the Indians.
Middlebrooks hit a bases-empty homer to go along with a two-run single while Daniel Nava went 2-for-2 with two RBI and three runs scored in Boston's victory.
Daniel Bard (3-4) held the Tribe to one run on six hits over six innings. He walked four and struck out two in the victory.
Cleveland starter Justin Masterson (1-3) was roughed up for six runs on seven hits, lasting six full frames.
Asdrubal Cabrera got the only RBI for the American League Central-leading Indians.
