MLB: Baltimore 5, Tampa Bay 3

BALTIMORE, May 12 (UPI) -- Brian Matusz limited the Rays to two earned runs and Baltimore's bullpen took over down the stretch Saturday in the Orioles' 5-3 win over Tampa Bay.

Matusz (2-4) earned the victory despite allowing three runs (one of them unearned) on seven hits over 5 2/3 innings, but walked only one and struck out five.

Luis Ayala and Pedro Strop combined to protect the O's slim lead with 2 1/3 frames of scoreless relief, and Jim Johnson picked up his 11th save with a 1-2-3 ninth as Baltimore clinched its three-game set against the Rays.

Adam Jones drove in two runs with a fifth-inning single in the win for the American League East-leading O's, who improved to 8-2 in May.

Matt Moore (1-3) lasted only 4 1/3 innings for Tampa Bay, allowing four runs on four hits.

Brandon Guyer homered and Luke Scott drove in a pair of runs for the Rays.
