MLS: Real Salt Lake 0, Chicago 0 (tie)

BRIDGEVIEW, Ill., May 9 (UPI) -- Sean Johnson and Kyle Reynish traded shutouts Wednesday, leaving Real Salt Lake and Chicago having to settle for an 0-0 tie.

The point Salt Lake picked up, however, moved it into the lead in the Western Conference. Salt Lake has 23 points, one more than Seattle and San Jose.

Chicago had a great chance against Reynish in the early moments of the game, but Dominic Oduro's header from close range bounced off the crossbar.

Salt Lake (7-3-2) and Seattle will battle for the conference lead Saturday.

Chicago (3-2-3), which had won two of its previous three game, remained tied for fourth place in the Eastern Conference.
