Lewis up to sixth women's golf rankings

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., April 30 (UPI) -- Stacy Lewis jumped three spots in the women's golf Top 10 and Yani Tseng tied one of the legends of the game with her string of weeks at No. 1.

Lewis won the Mobile Bay LPGA Classic in Alabama. It was her second LPGA title as a professional (she also won one as an amateur) and pushes her to No. 6 in the world rankings.

Tseng is solidly No. 1 in the rankings with an average of 17.59, more than double that of No. 2 Choi Na-yeon (8.51). Tseng has been No. 1 for 60 weeks, tying the mark set by Annika Sorenstam. Only Lorena Ochoa (158 weeks) has been No. 1 in women's golf longer.

Suzann Pettersen is third at 7.67 but Ai Miyazato (7.35) moves to No. 4, switching places with Cristie Kerr (7.27).

Kim In-kyung (6.47) keeps the No. 7 spot behind Lewis (6.69) but Jiyai Shin (6.45) falls two places to eighth and Ahn Sun-ju is down one place to ninth with an average of 6.34. Paula Creamer is 10th at 5.77.
