MLB: Baltimore 10, Oakland 1

BALTIMORE, April 28 (UPI) -- Chris Davis went 3-for-4 with a homer and four runs batted in Saturday, helping the Baltimore Orioles blast Oakland 10-1.

Davis ignited a five-run uprising in the second inning with a run-scoring single, added a two-run single in the fifth and clouted a solo homer in the seventh for Baltimore.

Adam Jones added three hits, including an RBI single, and scored three times as the Orioles won for the fifth time in six games and evened their three-game series at Camden Yards.

Wei-Yin Chen (2-0) held the A's to one run on six hits over seven innings, walking two and striking out four.

Oakland starter Tyson Ross (1-1) was bombed for nine earned runs on 11 hits in an outing that lasted only four-plus innings.

Jonny Gomes socked a solo homer to account for the A's only run.
