MLB: Texas 7, New York Yankees 3

ARLINGTON, Texas, April 25 (UPI) -- Adrian Beltre put concerns of a hamstring injury behind him Wednesday with one of Texas' three homers in a 7-3 Rangers victory over the New York Yankees.

The Rangers took two of three from New York and have won all six of their series this season while compiling baseball's best record (15-4).

Beltre homered in the second and had RBI singles in the third and sixth innings. Mike Napoli hit his seventh homer of the year, a solo blast in the fourth, and Mitch Moreland added a solo shot in the sixth.

Texas put together a collection of pitchers to fight off the Yankees, getting a spot start from Scott Feldman after a rainout in Detroit disrupted the rotation. Feldman went only 3 1/3 innings and the win was collected by Robbie Ross (4-0).

Ross, who prior to this season had appeared in only five games above Class AA, retired all eight men he faced after relieving Feldman.

Phil Hughes (1-3) took the loss, surrendering four runs on five hits in 2 2/3 innings.

Beltre left the first game of a doubleheader in Detroit Saturday after feeling tightness in his right hamstring. He returned to Texas for an MRI, but returned to the lineup Tuesday.
