MLB: San Francisco 6, Cincinnati 5

CINCINNATI, April 26 (UPI) -- Angel Pagan hit a three-run home run in the ninth inning Thursday, lifting the San Francisco Giants to a 6-5 victory over the Cincinnati Reds.

The Reds took a 5-3 lead into the ninth but Sean Marshall (0-2) walked Joaquin Arias to open the inning and then Ryan Theriot singled.

After a strikeout, Pagan pulled a 1-2 pitch into the left-field seats for his third home run of the year.

The home run gave the win to Javier Lopez (2-0), who pitched one inning. Santiago Casilla struck out all three batters he faced in the Cincinnati ninth and earned his second save.

The Reds scored twice in the second inning, with starting pitcher Homer Bailey knocking in the second run. A Brandon Belt RBI single and a sacrifice fly from Theriot tied the score for the Giants in the fourth, but Cincinnati went to 4-2 with Jay Bruce's two-run home run.

Each team scored once in the seventh with Gregor Blanco getting the San Francisco run in and Scott Rolen leading off the bottom of the inning with a home run that made the score 5-3.
