MLB: Atlanta 4, Los Angeles Dodgers 2

LOS ANGELES, April 26 (UPI) -- Freddie Freeman produced the first of five straight ninth-inning singles Wednesday that rallied the Atlanta Braves to a 4-2 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Los Angeles closer Javy Guerra was injured by a line drive to the face during the Braves' comeback in the ninth and stayed in the game while giving up three runs. He eventually left the contest with the right side of his face already swollen.

Atlanta defeated the Dodgers for the second straight night and wrapped up a seven-game road trip with a 5-2 record.

Guerra (1-3), who also took the loss Tuesday, retired the first batter he faced in the ninth and then gave up a base hit to Freeman.

Brian McCann was next and he lashed an 0-2 pitch that hit Guerra in the face. McCann reached on the infield hit and the stunned Guerra talked his way into staying in the game.

Dan Uggla, Chipper Jones and Jason Heyward all followed with singles and drove in a run each before Guerra was lifted for Josh Lindblom.

Lindblom hit a batter before getting Juan Francisco to ground into a double play to end the inning.

The Atlanta comeback made a winner out of Jonny Venters (2-0), who struck out the side in the eighth. Craig Kimbrel struck out two in the ninth for his seventh save.

Matt Kemp hit his league-leading 10th homer in the sixth to give Los Angeles a 2-1 lead.
