OAKLAND, Calif., April 25 (UPI) -- Kila Ka'aihue's run-scoring single in the 14th inning Wednesday capped a rally that carried the Oakland Athletics to a 5-4 win over the Chicago White Sox.
Chicago grabbed a 4-2 lead in the top of the 14th off Jim Miller (1-0) when Alexi Ramirez lined a two-run double to the left-field wall, scoring Dayan Viciedo and Alejandro De Aza.
But the Athletics came right back in the bottom of the frame. Josh Reddick got a one-out single off Chisox closer Hector Santiago (0-1) and Yoenis Cespedes followed by belting a game-tying, two-run homer.
Subsequent singles by Seth Smith and Kurt Suzuki put two runners on base and Ka'aihue then looped a hit down the left-field line, chasing Smith home with the stunning game-winner.
Cespedes finished with three RBI for the A's, who took the rubber match of a three-game set.
Paul Konerko hit his 400th career homer, going 3-for-5 in Chicago's loss.
