NBA: San Antonio 124, Portland 89

SAN ANTONIO, April 24 (UPI) -- Danny Green and Tim Duncan each scored 18 points Monday and the San Antonio Spurs clinched the Western Conference's top seed with a 124-89 win over Portland.

Tony Parker had 13 points, seven rebounds and six assists for the Spurs, who logged their eighth straight victory and tied the East's Chicago Bulls for the NBA's best overall record.

The game began with an 18-6 San Antonio run and the Spurs never looked back.

The Trail Blazers got a game-high 24 points from Wesley Matthews in their sixth straight loss -- their longest skid since 2010.
