NBA: Washington 101, Charlotte 73

WASHINGTON, April 23 (UPI) -- John Wall's double-double of 16 points and 14 assists Monday sparked Washington to a win 101-73 over the Charlotte Bobcats, losers of 21 straight.

Nene added 18 points and Jan Vesely scored 16 as Washington romped past hapless Charlotte to its fourth straight win.

The Bobcats, meanwhile, extended their franchise-record skid despite 19 points from Gerald Henderson and 15 from D.J. Augustin.

Charlotte fell to 7-57, and should the Bobcats also lose their final two contests they would set an NBA record for the lowest team winning percentage in a season.

Charlotte's Tyrus Thomas was ejected late in the first quarter after being whistled for a flagrant foul after throwing an elbow at James Singleton.

The incident came eight days after Thomas was involved in an altercation with head Coach Paul Silas following a Bobcats loss to Boston.
